Participants in the “Hektar” program in the Amur Region breed thoroughbred horses and develop equestrian sports

In the Far East, participants in the “Hektar” program continue to develop farms, tourist centers on free plots of land, conduct housing construction, and implement other projects. In the Amur region, one of the striking examples of the development of a hectare and a point of attraction for tourists and local residents was the stable in the village of Polyana, Seryshevsky district. Equestrian enthusiasts - the Savchuk family, built the stable, racing track and other facilities. Participants in the Hectare program conduct excursions and competitions on the site, teach horse riding to visitors, and train themselves. “Our farm has 4 Far Eastern hectares.” They were issued one for each family member,” says Irina Savchuk. We are mainly engaged in breeding horses - we have more than 100 of them, including thoroughbreds. People fr om all over the Amur region come to us to interact with horses and ride on our territory. We often conduct excursions for children from local schools. In addition to horses, we raise chickens, keep goats and cows. There is a dovecote wh ere purebred pigeons live - the youngest son Stepan is interested in them. Since 2015, we have been taking part in regional equestrian competitions: we regularly go to races and even take prizes.”
